We’ve been hearing about he heat wave that’s been hitting the eastern seaboard and now the Midwest, but we here in NW Montana have been pleased to see temps finally approach 90. In Eastern Montana, the heat wave has hit with triple-digit highs. Billings cooked at 111-degrees, but Miles City was even hotter Sunday…115.
Baker–close to the North Dakota border, recorded 108-degrees Sunday and even Salt Lake City broke their previous record by 2-degrees, hitting 109.
Here in the Flathead, the worst of our heat will begin Wednesday at 92 with temps at or near 90 through the weekend. With this kind of heat, there’s always danger of a late-day thunderstorm.
