Kalispell Police have taken into custody a mad suspected of setting fires at Edgerton Elementary and Glacier High Schools. He is 25-year old Dalton Andrew Cogar (pictured) of Kalispell. He’s in the Flathead County Detention Center on $150,000 bail, formally charged with Felony Arson and a Probation Violation.
The first report of fire happened a little after 1:00 Monday morning at Edgerton School. The second, about an hour later–2:01 that morning at Glacier High School. Both responses by Police and Fire were the result of fire alarms.
Kalispell Police and fire investigators investigators are working with the District collecting evidence. Police would like to talk with who may have seen anything connected with these 2-fires at either of the schools. Specific details are being withheld as the investigation continues.
With this arrest, police do not believe there is any further threat to students, staff or the public.
