On Wall Street, investors appeared to be cutting their losses as the stock market had a terrible day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day down 890-points. The NASDAQ was off 729-points, while the F&P 500 lost 155-points. Perhaps the worst day for Elon Musk’s Tesla short history as the stock dropped $40.52, or 15.4%.
The on-again-off-again tariffs along with President Donald Trump’s refusal to rule out a recession caused investors to pull in their horns and do what profit-taking they could.
Canadian markets didn’t fare any better, falling over 1.54%, as the prelude to a trade war with the United States continues.
