The Mineral County Sheriff is working to unravel the events that led to three people being stabbed in St Regis.
Two victims, ages 13 and 71, are hospitalized in Missoula in critical condition. A third victim is in stable condition at Mineral Community Hospital.
Thomas Gunderson Jr. of St. Regis is in the Mineral County Jail in Superior pending charges of attempted deliberate homicide.
It all began around 8:30 Monday night. Sheriff Ryan Funk tells us they came upon an adult victim and a younger victim, a juvenile. A third victim was inside the residence along with the perpetrator.
The Montana Department of Criminal Investigation is assisting in processing the crime scene.
