In honor of their 25th anniversary, the Whitefish Community Foundation is awarding $370,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations filling needs in our community.
The Samaritan House received $145,000 for their ongoing construction of affordable housing units for low-income families and veterans. Their expansion project needs just under $17-million–they now have nearly $12-million towards that.
The Alano Club of Kalispell–the addiction recovery center, received $70,000 to expand their meeting space on North Meridian Road. Executive Dir. Ray Beauregard tells us this money will go a long ways in making sure that anyone who needs help with their recovery gets it.
The Columbia Falls Kids Foundation received $155,000 to renovate the old Glacier Gateway Elementary School, home of the Boys & Girls Club of Glacier Country, Land to Hand and the Ruis Wrestling Academy.
We’ll learn more about the plans for their 25th year with Whitefish Community Foundation CEO Alan Davis next Monday morning at 9:10 on the KGEZ Good Morning Show.
